If your Blu-ray player has an HDMI input this might work, but all of the Blu-ray players I have seen only have HDMI output ports. Plugging a Chromecast into an HDMI output port will not work. Plugging a Chromecast into an HDMI output port will not work.

Sony 40" HD LED TV, Chromecast, Blu-ray in EX4 Exeter for The built in Blu-ray/DVD player isn't currently reading discs. The laser may just need cleaning or the software may need an update. Google Chromecast included. Remote and instructions included. Bought from new I am the original owner. Wall mounts not shown but will mount the TV flat to the wall. The model of the TV is KDL-40EX43B.

This is really disappointing to me. I really like my Chromecast it's the almost perfect way to watch TV. I really wish Google Samsung or somebody would really say Blu-ray player that runs Chromecast. I guess I'll just have to move my Xbox back to the living room and put the Chromecast on the HDMI pass-through.
